Quilt Show

The Quilt Guild in Salmon Arm held a show at the curling rink last Friday 6th and Saturday 7th where we were invited to set up a booth with displays and demonstrate some spinning and weaving. Thank you Elvi for organizing us, the ladies for setting up and taking down and whose who spun and weaved.
Besides the quilts on display, quilting booths selling their wares, there was a fashion show in which some of our members entered.

In the first photo the woman is modeling her felted vest, a boas made out of locks and her hat was sheepskin she had hand sewn together. The woman is from the Netherlands where she has a sheep farm and the clothing she is modeling is from her own sheep a breed from Sweden. I think everyone our booth went to talk to her and probably knows more about her than me. Interesting lady.

Gudie in her vest covered in labels cut off old clothes. She has a label starting with every letter in the alphabet except Q Z and X.

Gudie wearing her vest made out of old zippers REALLY COOL!
